Cemetery monuments and grave markers for Spanish speaking Jewish families in Miami, Florida are designed and handcrafted by the City Monument Company. The headstone pictured here was commissioned by the Franco family and features etchings of the Star of David and a menorah. The name on the monument, Susana Franco was engraved using English letters. Hebrew lettering is also featured below here name and above her birth date, October 17, 1914 and here death date, October 7th 1986. The epitaph at the bottom was engraved using the Spanish language. Monuments that feature English, Spanish and Jewish components, like the one pictured here, are rarely designed.
