Granite Headstone Purchased by Cayman Island Husband and Wife

The black granite headstone pictured above was purchased by a husband and wife who lived on the Cayman Islands. This companion upright monument was custom designed for William Astor Ebanks and Linda Lourenzie Ebanks who are buried at the North Side Cemetery located in the Cayman Islands. The City Monument Company manufactured the monument in Miami, Florida and shipped it to the Cayman Islands. You can see that a lighthouse was sculpted into the granite and that seagulls were etched into the stone. Color portraits of William Astor Ebanks and Linda Lourenzie Ebanks were laser etched into the memorial as well. Mr. Astor was born on January 4th, 1930 and died February 3rd, 2012. His wife was was born on May 28th, 1930 and she passed away on December 26th, 2012. Both of their birth dates and death dates were inscribed on the monument above the epitaphs. We etched two commemorative inscriptions on the mortuary monument about the couple. In memory of Mr. Ebanks, we inscribed "I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith" and we wrote the following words on the gravestone in honor of Mrs. Ebanks "My help cometh, from the Lord who made Heaven and Earth." You will receive a scale drawing to approve prior to the monument being engraved to ensure you will be happy with its appearance.  We will take care of crating the gravestone to ensure it is not damaged during transport and will deliver it to the shipping company of your choice.  If you don't have a preferred carrier, we are happy to arrange one for you.  All memorials are shipped freight collect and you will receive a call from the shipping company once your cargo has arrived.  Payment will be due to them at that time.  We regret that we cannot accept your freight pre-payment directly but can provide an estimate of freight costs when you place your order based on the current freight rates.
